A true advocate for her country she tries to make sure all her guests learn as much about Madagascar as possible. She has a wonderful sense of humour and thinks the animal that best represents her is a lemur because like the primate she is small and thin but can run fast and jump high. How long have you been a guide?
I have been a guide for 10 years.
Where is the most interesting place you’ve been?
The Northern part of Madagascar where Biodiversity is incredibly rich.
What do you usually do when you when you have time off?
When I have time off, I stay at home, studying and cooking.
What have you learned from your travels through Madagascar?
I have learned about different lifestyles and various cultures from my travels through Madagascar.
What is something you will NEVER do again?
Joking with a client who was about to be furious.
What is something you hope your guests remember or learn from their trip to Madagascar?
The smile of the friendly Malagasy people, although some of them are so poor.
Why do you think conservation is important?
Conservation is important because life depends on it.
How do you make guests aware of conservation?
Showing them conservation projects and explaining to them the real impact of deforestation.
What animal best represents you, and why?
A lemur best represents me because I’m small and thin but can jump or run like one.
If you had to choose only 3 adjectives to describe yourself, which would you choose?
Serious, smiling, and service-minded.
If you could take only three items with you on a safari, what would they be?
A torch, water, and a knife.
Can you describe a typical day in your life while you are on tour?
I wake up as early as possible then check whether breakfast tables are set or not. I meet the clients and do a short briefing on the activities of the day. Then I try to make everyone’ day run smoothly and unforgettable.
