Nature Lodge, Joffreville, Madagascar – This charming property is located in the far north of Madagascar near the village of Joffreville, on the lower slopes of the Montagne d’Ambre National Park and overlooks the Bay of Diego in the Channel of Mozambique.
Each of the 12 standard chalets in Nature Lodge are tastefully decorated with local wood. There is a thatched roof, en-suite shower room to the rear of the bungalow and a small terrace which has impressive views stretching over Diego Suarez Bay. The main building shelters the restaurant where the friendly staff cook up some homemade food made of cocoa, seafood and other fresh produce. Choose to dine inside or out on the terrace overlooking beautifully maintained gardens and round off your day in the cosy bar with tasty local fruit marmalades, exotic drinks such as litchee rum or coco punch.
All 40 river lodge suites have a stunning view over the reserve from private patios. They are equipped with air-conditioning, minibar, beverage stations and en-suite bathrooms.
The 20 spa suites offer close-up views and the ultimate bush experience with large glass doors and frameless windows. Seperated from the lodge and a little further away they ensure additional privacy and proximity to the spa for unique African spa treatments. The suites feature a minibar, beverage stations, safe, hairdryer and international plugs.
Like the spa spuites, the family rooms are positioned a little way from the lodge and have three balconies as well as additional bedrooms that can accommodate two beds for children .
The two royal suites have a sperate lounge, an extended balcony with recliner couches for relaxing and game viewing in the shade. You can overlook the surrounding bushveld and watch game from the en-suite bathroom equipped with a bath and a dual shower.
